"Forty works by twenty-one Cuban visual artists are featured in Volume II of this promotional art-book project. This ongoing outreach initiative—open to all artists—complements various lines of work pursued by Banco de Ideas Z to promote contemporary visual art with a distinct cultural focus.

BIZ works with humility and unwavering determination—steadily and without pause—to secure national and international recognition for Cuban artists and to link art with other sociocultural spheres.

Volume II gives voice and space to a diverse range of individual artistic visions and genres. They appear together because every artist matters; talent is not the exclusive province of any single group, and the fabric of today’s art scene is woven from the contributions of all these creators. To provide basic information about the creators, the publication includes a brief biography for each, along with details regarding their areas of specialization and education. Information on their first and most recent exhibitions is also included; a (P) indicates a solo exhibition, while a (C) denotes a group exhibition. The Libro-Arte project remains open to any artist wishing to participate.

For researchers, critics, cultural promoters, and the general public, this publication will serve as a source of information and insight into a multivocal expression of Cuban culture through the visual arts."
