"The Gay Men's Health Project is a small collective of gay men who are concerned about the health care needs of the gay male. The Project formed as an outgrowth of a consciousness raising group in early 1972. Since September 1972, the Project has operated a V.D. screening clinic now located at 74 Grove St., Room 2RW, in New York's Greenwich Village. It is open on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. At this clinic, gay men are cared for by their peers in a comfortable, personal and honest fashion. Routine V.D. screening for gonorrhea, syphilis, & hepatitis, counseling and referrals are all provided without charge on a walk-in basis. The Project has also presented seminars on gay health problems and has provided speakers for enlightening straightforward talks to various interest groups.

This report represents the second major publication of the Project. The Project is solely sponsored by the generous contributions of the gay community."
