Early Nan Goldin, Sherrie Levine and Richard Prince. This exhibition dates to the beginnings of Barbara Kruger's signature style. She published her book Picture/Readings in 1979 which consists of photographs and longform text; her work would soon be further distilled into the concise statements that would become her hallmark.
