Thomas Ligotti (Poem).
Tina Said (Editor).
Theoretical Detective issue 1.

San Francisco: Tina Said, 1981.
Staple-bound softcover.
22 pages including covers.

Very good.
Minor edge wear. Circular sticker residue front top right. Slight toning at cover edges, more though still unobtrusive back cover top.

Rare one-off surreal detective horror art-lit mag edited and published by San Francisco writer/artist Tina Said. Features a very early appearance by Thomas Ligotti, a poem entitled "The Blonde: A Sonnet". Under the title a "Frank Santorini" is credited though at the bottom right of the page, Ligotti is credited in the same place as every other contributor.

A very hard to find early Ligotti appearance.

Also featuring contributions by Tina Said, G. Sutton Breiding, Andrew Darlington, Laura Harris, Germ, Deborah Valentine (a mirror-printed poem! and collage), Keith Ullrich, Harry O. Morris, Jr., and Billy Wolfenbarger.

"Dedicated to Philip Marlowe and Thomas Kyd."
