This book of Robert Mallary’s early drawings and prints was published as part of The Human Condition, an exhibition at Mitchell Algus Gallery. Mallary, who would become better known for his “junk art” sculptures, completed these drawings starting at the age of nineteen as a student in Mexico City. The drawings range from cartoon-inspired scenes and caricatures to more abstract geometric forms and human figures.
