Scarce book self-published by Padin and Caraballo documenting their imprisonment by Uruguay's military dictatorship in the late 1970's largely through essays, letters, posters and mail art calling for their release by an international roster of artists such as Ulises Carrion, Robin Crozier, Guillermo Deisler, Bill Gaglione, Paulo Bruscky, Dámaso Ogaz, Graciela Gutierrez Marx & Edgardo Antonio Vigo, etc.

Prologue by Leon Lev who met the authors while they were imprisoned.

A Uruguayan artist, poet, and publisher, Padin edited the influential literary magazines Los Huevos del Plata and OVUM 10 which put him in contact with the international avant garde. A participant in mail art, his artistic and political endeavors landed him in jail in the late '70s and surveilled upon release til the mid '80s, deemed a threat by Uruguay's military dictatorship.

Jorge Caraballo is an Uruguayan artist who made visual poetry and was active in main art. He was imprisoned by Uruguay's military dictatorship in the late 1970s.
