Minor edgewear and creasing at edges. Wrinkling from glue. Light soiling to back of 4th page.  The 4th sheet has Padin's stamp with his pre-1988/1989 address and name.

These collages do not appear in the book "Por la Vida y Por la Paz: Performance en la Feria... Viernes 28 de agosto de 1987 =

For Life & for Peace," (Montevideo: C. Padin, 1987), but all eleven photos and the Spanish text below them + the first page text do appear. The English text, design elements, stamps, stickers, etc are not produced.

Each sheet is numbered at bottom and has text, photo-illustrations, stickers and stamps pasted down. The first page text and four of the printed photographs are reproduced in Padin's Action Works: Performances 1970-1991 3rd Edition.

Por la Vida y Por la Paz / For Life & For Peace was a 1987 action by Clemente Padín denouncing the disappearance of political prisoners.

A Uruguayan artist, poet, and publisher, Padin edited the influential literary magazines Los Huevos del Plata and OVUM 10 which put him in contact with the international avant garde. A participant in mail art, his artistic and political endeavors landed him in jail in the late '70s and surveilled upon release til the mid '80s, deemed a threat by Uruguay's military dictatorship.
