Poetry For The People flyer, Three pages of quotes from Lew Welch, June Jordan, David Henderson, George Thomson, Jack Spicer, Fred Pietarinen, Pablo Neruda, and history of Poetry For The People by Janet McCandless. Leaf laid in.

A scarce remnant of Leslie Stein's Poetry For The People which sprang forth from a City College class in 1975, predating June Jordan's Poetry For The People by nearly two decades. Stein's PFFP wanted to literally bring poetry to the people by holding public readings with food and music in parks, but also unemployment and food stamp lines, San Francisco County Jail, etc. They eventually expanded to guerrilla poetry stickers, a chapbook series as well as a radio show and more. A reminder of a more utopian idealistic time.
