This catalogue documents drawings by Zazeela produced between 1962 and 1991 and includes extensive information about the exhibition and artist biography. Since 1962, two years after Zazeela returned to New York City after college, she has been working with her long term collaborator, musician La Monte Young, on installations and set design in sound and light. Zazeela’s drawings have been less well known until the publication of this catalogue. Her drawings are based on calligraphic marks and ornamental forms.
