It pains me to announce that Fenrick Books as a brick & mortar store is closing at the end of July. Unfortunately Ridgewood Coin & Stamp is no longer a tenable home. Last day of business is July 27th. Afterward, business will resume online.

DISPLAY

Saturday, February 22nd
Display is closing
with a musical performance
by Alex Zhang Hungtai

Closing party 4-7pm
Performance 4:30pm

Opening 4-7 February 2nd, 2025.

February 2nd - 22nd, 2025.

"Circling the term 'display' - letting it drift, dérive. Just started drawing out an idea of four door-like canvases with mirrors attached to each rear side, set up in a circle. Originally planned to walk through, like a mirror cabinet that multiplies the painting and the interacting viewer… Scaled down to fit the display, rotating in its own orbit.“

Robert Pawliczek is a conceptual artist who makes use of many techniques, often taking apart traditional subjects such as painting. He studied both performative art & sculpture and abstract painting in Vienna and Prague. Pawliczek operates a publishing house for small run art editions called DIDT Publishing. He has been part of various projects in the DIY-scene - toured, recorded, released with constellations such as Bobby Would, Heavy Metal, Itchy Bugger, Healing (…) to name a few and runs the labels Die Plattenfirma and Quality Music Records.
